Asphaltene Inhibition and Flow Improvement of Crude Oil with a High Content of Asphaltene and Wax by Polymers Bearing Ultra-Long Side Chain

A high content of asphaltene and wax in crude oil leads to difficulties the recovery transportation due precipitation asphaltenes deposition waxes. Comb-like polymers were found be capable inhibiting aggregation crystallization In this work, comb-like bipolymers α-olefins/ultra-long chain (C18, C22 C28) alkyl acrylate synthesized characterized by FT-IR 1H NMR spectra. The results show that, for a model containing asphaltene, initial point (IPP) was prolonged UV, particle size reduced after adding biopolymers, as revealed dynamitic light scattering (DLS). bipolymer longer had better inhibition effect. However, DSC rheological that appearance temperature (WAT) typical obviously with shorter chains. (TDA2024-22) mediate (C22) viscosity thixotropy much larger margin than others. Compared previously phenyl pendant (PDV-A-18), TDA2024-22 exhibited performance. Therefore, appropriate side chains can act not only inhibitors but also oil, which has great potential applications fields.
